This river got the title enchanted from the diplomat Modesto Farolan who described the river as Rio Enchanto in his poem. It is not sure where the saltwater emanates from, but it is believed that the water comes from an underground cave system free from any dirt or silt. The first exploration of this underground cave of Hinatuan Enchanted River was made in the year 1999. This river is beyond beautiful, and the rich color of water proves it. Crystal clear, the water is just notebook blue as if nature patiently created this lagoon.

Crooked Forest, Poland

The mysterious crooked forest, as if right from a fairy tale is situated in western Poland. This forest as the name suggests has 400 pine trees with a 90-degree bend at its base. These tall, crooked trees give a feeling as if some monsters will jump right in front of you. Dont worry as they dont really exist. A grove of 400 pine trees was planted here around the year 1930. Though it is widely believed that some form of technique was used to make the trees grow with a curve so that the naturally curved timber can be used to build boats, nobody is sure as to what was used and how it really happened to these pine trees.

Hitachi Seaside Park, Japan

Admit it; theres nothing more soothing to eyes than a colossal bed of blooming flowers spread as far as the sight goes. Experience it at the Hitachi Seaside Park in Japan. Spread over an area of 190 hectares; the Hitachi Seaside Park has blooming flowers all through the year. Famous for the baby blue-eyes flower, in spring tourists, come to view the bed of 4.5 million blue flowers. Also, famous are the bringing bush plants and the yellow Daffodils. Pangong Tso lake which means high grassland lake is located at the height of 4350m and is 134 kilometers long. This lake extends from India to China. Despite being a saline water lake, it freezes completely during winters. This lake lies in the Aksai Chin, the Line of Actual Control that lies between India and China. The brackish water in this lake has very less vegetation with no aquatic life at all, but numerous ducks, and seagulls are seen over the surface. This lake is a breeding ground for some migratory birds.

Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, China

Situated in the Hunan province, the Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve covers an area of 67 sq. km. Tianzi which means Son of Heaven, provides a spectacular view of the peaks that rise one after another. At the top, you can see the amazing Yu Bi peaks which look as if they are rising upwards to the sky with pine trees. You can take a cable car to visit these mountains and the experienced beauty that will make you wonder about the artistic capabilities of nature.

Capuchin Crypt, Italy

The capuchin crypt in Italy is a small place with several tiny chapels beneath the church of Santa Maria Della Concezione dei Cappuccini. These chapels contain the remains of 3700 bodies believed to be of the capuchin friars. Though it looks cryptic, these skeletal remains are displayed decoratively. When the monks arrived at the church in the year 1631, they brought 300 cartloads of deceased friars. As the monks died the longest buried monk was exhumed to make space for the newly deceased who were buried without coffin. And the newly exhumed bones were added as decorative motifs. While it may sound a bit weird, it is definitely a destination that adds a distinct experience to your book of travel.

Bastakiya Quarter

Yeah, we know Dubai is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the world, but many tourists are still unaware of Bastakiya quarters even after several trips to the city. Not usually a part of the Dubai Tour Guide by the commercial package tour operators, the Bastakiya Quarters in Bur Dubai is one of Dubais most scenic heritage sites. Built in the late 19th century by Persian merchants the name Bastakiya comes from the name of the town Bastak in Iran. Most of the buildings that were built were restored and feature wind towers (an early form of air-conditioning).
