Buttermilk Cornbread

Ingredients – Butter – ½ cup (melted), sugar – ¾ cup, buttermilk – 1cup, baking soda – ½ tsp, cornmeal – 1 cup, all purpose flour – 1 cup, salt – ½ tsp

Method – Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease an eight inch square pan. Combine buttermilk, sugar, baking soda and the melted butter in a pan and stir well. After five minutes add the cornmeal, all purpose flour and salt and blend well. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 30 minutes. Tasty and healthy buttermilk cornbread is ready.
